Toilet Construction

Brick toilets are safe and hygienic. Children easily fall into the old toilets of branches. There are no proper toilets in Guizhou mountain districts.  The toilets are usually roofless and made of woods, which cause hygiene and safety problems.

Construction of toilets help improving villagers’ lives, increase awareness of hygiene and prevent infections.  Farmers can also use the feces for fertilization, and no more children falling into the holes.

OBHK built 26 toilets in Sheng Gou village, Shuang Ping town, and 2 in Gao Shang village, Xing Fa town.  In 2012, 16 were built in Hong Wei village.  A toilet of 2 latrines costs only HKD1,350.
